"The cookies were fabulous. I ordered them for my father who immigrated to the US as a child from Messina. He is now 81 and the cookies brought back fond memories. I thoroughly enjoyed them myself. I am completing my business degree and have thought of starting my own bakery in honor of my Nunu (of blessed memory) (hope I spelled that right). He was a tailor and studied to be a baker but was unable to save the necessary money to start a bakery of his own. My father says he was not only a great tailor but traffic pastry chef. He returned to his beloved Sicily later in life until he was no longer able to care for himself. Anyway, as you can see there was a bit of nostalgia involved.
